Daiwabo Information System Signs Distributor Agreement with CYFIRMA

With this partnership, Daiwabo Information System Ltd. will bring CYFIRMA’s DeTCT platform to its network of 19,000 reseller partners across 90 sales offices in Japan

Daiwabo Information System Ltd, a leading technology distributor in Japan and CYFIRMA K.K. Ltd., an external threat landscape management platform company, has signed a distributorship agreement to bring the next-generation digital risk monitoring product, DeTCT, to businesses in Japan.

According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2022 report, the average number of cyberattacks experienced by an organization has climbed to 270 and it takes close to 300 days to discover a breach. In the same report, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are seen as key threats to supply chains, partner networks and ecosystems where 88% of respondents indicate that they are concerned that the lack of cyber resilience of SMEs would weaken their overall cyber posture.

The increased dependency on digital ecosystems and the associated risks and threats have resulted in businesses taking on a more defensive position as they seek clarity on their cyber presence and understand what they need to do to remain secure. One fundamental approach for businesses to enhance their cybersecurity is to gain visibility of their external attack surface and understand their cyber risk by monitoring their external threat landscape.

To help SMEs address the growing digital risk, the two companies are collaborating to bring DeTCT, the next-generation digital risk protection platform, to Japan. DeTCT helps businesses uncover their attack surfaces, know their vulnerabilities, and quickly gain awareness of data breaches or leaks. DeTCT also protects businesses’ brands and reputations by unraveling copyright infringement and executive impersonation. The partnership with Daiwabo Information System is focused on delivering external attack surface management (EASM) and email credential leak monitoring to SMEs.

“The COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical climate and uncertain economic recovery have set the stage for cybercriminals to advance their nefarious agendas. SMEs are particularly vulnerable to cyber risks ranging from business email compromise and DDoS attacks to phishing and ransomware campaigns. Together with Daiwabo Information System and their resellers, we will introduce our platform DeTCT to SMEs so they can automatically discover vulnerable assets, obtain visibility on data leaks, take remedial actions, and reduce threats at scale,” said Kumar Ritesh, Founder and CEO of CYFIRMA.

With this partnership, Daiwabo Information System Ltd. will bring CYFIRMA’s DeTCT platform into its network of 19,000 reseller partners across 90 cities in Japan. The extensive reach and coverage will allow many Japanese small and medium enterprises to quickly acquire digital risk protection so they can transform into digital businesses with confidence.

“With the acceleration of digital transformation, remote working and the increase in cloud adoption, countermeasures against security risks such as data leaks and network breaches have gained urgency among businesses. We see CYFIRMA’s DeTCT as the true game changer to help Japanese businesses thrive, and together, we can play a pivotal role to protect digital businesses, their infrastructures, and ecosystems from the devastating force of cyberattacks,” said Hiroyuki Matsumoto, President and CEO of Daiwabo Information Systems Co., Ltd.

CYFIRMA will showcase DeTCT at the upcoming DIS World 2022, the annual Daiwabo Information Systems tradeshow where over 10,000 attendees are expected to visit the two-day event. Sign up to attend the event here URL: https://www.dis-world.com/
